Hamilton Syphylis cases up

Hamilton is seeing a rise in syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection. Health officials say about 28 cases of syphilis were reported in Hamilton last year, up 60% from the year before. Officials say that more than three quarters of the infections were among men who have sex with men. Syphilis is a highly treatable disease that can be cured with a single dose of anitbiotics.
