The City of Burlington is hosting another COVID-19 telephone town hall event tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The town hall provides an opportunity for the community to hear information and ask questions about the on-going pandemic and recent impacts on city programs and services.

“It’s what’s on the minds of the community,” Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward said in an interview on Morning Live. “I know there may be a lot of questions about health, Omicron and vaccines.”

Meed Ward will host the meeting and be joined by a panel of local leaders, including representatives from Joseph Brant Hospital and the provincial and federal governments.

You can call 1-800-759-5308 to join the town hall or listen to it live on channel 700 on Cogeco.

The mayor of Burlington also provided details on four additional COVID-19 vaccination clinics that are coming to the city.

Two GO-VAXX indoor walk-in clinics will be in the city on Jan. 22 and Feb. 5 at Sherwood Forest Park.

First, second, third and paediatric doses will be administered and no appointment is required.

Approximately 320 vaccines will be available at each clinic following the schedule below:

  • 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. :  Adult Pfizer for 12 to 29 years of age

These GO-VAXX indoor walk-in clinics are in addition to the two GO-VAXX mobile bus clinics at Sherwood Forest Park on Jan. 24 and Jan. 31.
