Getting a preview of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games with participating athletes
Shelly Marriage was at Canada Games Park in Thorold to preview the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games. Held every two years, alternating between winter and summer, the Canada Games are the country’s big event for amateur Canadian athletes to compete on the national level.
Shelly checked in with a few of our Canadian athletes training for the games including track events, lacrosse, wrestling, and basketball and even gets involved in a few warm-ups!
The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games runs August 6th-21st and features 18 different sports. The 28th edition of the games also marks the first time in 21 years that the event has taken place in Ontario.
