Georgetown’s Jasmine Baird won the Big Air event at the FIS Snowboard World Cup at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday night.

It was her first ever world cup win in front of 15,000 people in Edmonton where they constructed the biggest scaffold jump ever built.

It was a big thrill for 22-year-old Baird and the Canadian snowboard team, as she will be a medal contender at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
