The Burlington Humane Society is asking for help tonight to save a stray cat who was hit by a car at a busy intersection earlier this week.

The car kept going, but a pedestrian asked the nearby Burgess Veterinary Clinic for help. In addition to cuts and bruises, the two-year old cat has a broken pelvis, and needs blood transfusions and surgery. The humane society has named him “Tiny Tim”, and is hoping to raise thousands of dollars to nurse him back to health, so that he can be adopted.

Melissa Shupak is with the Burlington Humane Society: He’s improved. He’s grooming and eating well and the staff at Burgess say he’s moving around and a little more adventurous, so we have high hopes for him. He’s just a sweet handsome stray of Burlington who just we all hope will be able to walk one day soon.”

If you’d like to help Tiny Tim, you can call or drop by the Burlington Humane Society, or make a donation on their website:   www.burlingtonhumane.ca
