It’s called the Jetovator, and if you’ve ever idolized Buzz Lightyear, this is for you. It’s part bike, part boat, part rocket ship. It’s surprisingly easy to ride. The Jetovator is a jetstream powered bicycle that lets riders hover up to 45 feet in the air with the power of water. It may look intimidating, but the hardest part is squeezing into the wet suit, as Elise Copps found out today.

The Seadoo’s spray sends a stream of water up through a hose and out three jets attached to the bike. Riders use hand controls to swivel two front jets forward and back, adjusting the stream of water. If you’re brave enough to try flying, you can rent the Jetovator for a weekend at the cottage.

Jetovator spokesperson, David Rogers said “We’re stationed in Wasaga Beach all summer long. You can come visit us there. We also have a “to your dock” experience, so we bring the Jetovator, the Jet Skis, everything you need to fly and we’ll take the family flying right from your cottage.”

You can also suit up at the Port Credit Spring Boat Show for a free ride this weekend.
