Doctors report card survey released
An Ipsos Reid poll for the Canadian Medical Association finds 93% of Canadians want their province to adopt a patient health charter.
Also, 82% of adults surveyed in July said a charter, outlining patients’ rights and responsibilities, would make the system more efficient.
87% said there should be a mechanism so that people can complain about poor health-care service.
80% said they support publishing the number of complaints to compare various jurisdictions.
