DIY hair mask ingredients:

– 2 tablespoons coconut oil

– 1 tablespoon honey

– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1-3 drops peppermint essential oil (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add the coconut oil and honey to a bowl. I recommend microwaving the oil for 30-45 seconds so that it easier to work with.
  2. Mix the apple cider vinegar and essential oil (if using) into the bowl containing the oil and honey.
  3. Work the mixture through your dry roots, making sure to saturate your scalp before moving to your ends.
  4. Cover hair with a shower cap and apply heat with a hooded dryer or cordless microwavable heat cap, such as Hot Head™. Leave on for 20-45 minutes before shampooing. If your hair is extra dry or unruly, I would suggest applying a little conditioner on your hair’s ends after shampooing. Then rinse off conditioner and style as usual.
