DIY hair mask ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons coconut oil
– 1 tablespoon honey
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1-3 drops peppermint essential oil (optional)
Directions:
- Add the coconut oil and honey to a bowl. I recommend microwaving the oil for 30-45 seconds so that it easier to work with.
- Mix the apple cider vinegar and essential oil (if using) into the bowl containing the oil and honey.
- Work the mixture through your dry roots, making sure to saturate your scalp before moving to your ends.
- Cover hair with a shower cap and apply heat with a hooded dryer or cordless microwavable heat cap, such as Hot Head™. Leave on for 20-45 minutes before shampooing. If your hair is extra dry or unruly, I would suggest applying a little conditioner on your hair’s ends after shampooing. Then rinse off conditioner and style as usual.
