Tim Bolen discovered just a small sampling of the shops when he was there and shared those places with us this morning.
One place to go to is Manns Distillery for a cocktail. Manns is a craft distillery that makes a variety of botanical spirits. One of their specialties is their White Tea Gin that is steeped with juniper, spices and citrus flavours, which is perfect to mix into a cocktail. Stop by their tasting room to try it, or any of their other gins, vodkas or spirits.
Another place to visit is Fume RestoBar. The restaurant is close to the water and trails and has been open for three years. They serve up Mediterranean inspired foods with a twist in a relaxed space.
Have a sweet tooth? Then you’ll want to visit Annette and the team at Le Chocolate du Savoie. Annette makes all her chocolates in the back of the shop with only the finest couverture chocolate. So stop in for a real chocolate experience.
The last stop Tim did was to a wellness centre where he took a beer bath. Grand Wellness Centre offers many services and spa experiences, but their beer spa treatments are something Tim has never heard of before. In a beer soak you soak in warm water infused with hops, barley and yeast that allows your body to release toxins and exfoliate the skin.
