Discount on Horizon for commercial developers

Horizon Utilities is offering a huge incentive for companies to move into vacant commercial and industrial space in St Catharines.

The Smart Growth Customer Connection Program was launched this morning inside a 35,000 square foot empty building. The program eliminates the usual start-up utility costs for businesses moving into buildings where the electrical infrastructure is already in place.

The program launched in Hamilton in February and Horizon president Max Cananzi says it’s already generated a lot of interest. “We’ve had realtors, developers, as well as property owners who want to redevelop, also from businesses outside of the region that are considering setting up shop.”

Horizon says depending on the size of the property it could save companies between $100,000 and $200,000 in start-up fees.
