Diabetes numbers still heading up
The International Diabetes Federation predicts that one in 10 adults could have diabetes by 2030.
In a report issued Monday, the advocacy group estimates that 522 million people will have diabetes in the next two decades.
The figure includes both types of diabetes.
Without including the impact of increasing obesity, the International Diabetes Federation says its figures are conservative.
