HAPPENING NOW:

Coffee and the heart

A study finds drinking moderate amounts of coffee every day could lower your risk for heart failure.

Researchers found 2 cups of coffee a day lowered the risk for heart failure by as much as 11%.

But drinking more than 5 cups a day could be harmful.

The study didn’t indicate how coffee lowered the risk for heart failure.

But researchers say frequent coffee drinkers may have a higher tolerance for caffeine, which could lower their risk for high blood pressure.
