City of Burlington raising the pride flag today in recognition of Pride Month
Time to meet with Burlington mayor Marianne Meed Ward to see what’s been happening in the city.
Splash pads around the city are open, but due to a labour strike in concrete and other areas, Mountainside Pool has not reopened yet.
June is Pride Month and there is a Pride flag raising ceremony in Burlington this morning. There are also Pride banners on Brant St. just south of Fairview.
“It’s really just about showing people in our community that they are welcome and celebrate diversity and inclusion. We want everyone to feel welcome.” said Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward.
