Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Crystal’ hits the ice at the Meridian Centre
For this weekend only, you can see Cirque du Soleil‘s ‘Crystal’ on the ice at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines.
The show is Cirque’s one and only skating show that blends acrobatics with figure skating and other types of skating.
Tim Bolen spent the morning with Welland born Hjordis Lee, who is a figure skater and plays one of the Crystal’s in the show. He learned how Cirque puts on a skating show, what special equipment is needed, and also got to learn a spin.
The last performance is Sunday, before the show hits the road to Providence, Rhode Island.
