HAPPENING NOW:
Chrysler Windsor off for a week
A parts shortage is forcing Chrysler Canada to shutdown its Windsor assembly plant until the middle of next week.
The head of the Canadian Auto Workers local says the plant will operate on short shifts Thursday.
The plant will then be shut down Friday through Tuesday because it is struggling to get some parts.
He says there were parts problems all through the summer, partly due to the tsunami in Japan.
The plant will be back to normal operation next Wednesday, October 5th.
