Car seat blitz
A police car seat spot check in Oakville is reporting some disturbing results.
Police found about 70% of the car seats they inspected on Upper Middle Road last weekend either weren’t installed right, or were being used incorrectly.
Officers say they found car seats that were expired, as well as children sitting in booster seats without any seat belts on at all.
They’re reminding parents and caregivers to check the manual for proper use and installation.
