Canadians need more shots
A study out of McMaster University says adults in this country aren’t protecting themselves as well as they could against infectious diseases.
A national survey found fewer than 47% of adults were properly immunized for tetanus which protects against serious infections in the lungs, blood and brain.
The lead researcher says that rate is “abysmal”.
Even worse only 39% of adults over 65 got the vaccine.
Researchers says patients and doctors need to be doing a better job at keeping up with their immunizations.
