Canada’s November job report

Statistics Canada says the country’s unemployment rate nudged up one notch last month to 7.4% as employment fell for the second straight month.

The number of Canadians who were officially employed dropped by 18,600 in November, following a 54,000 cut in October.

November’s disappointing result makes five consecutive months that Canada has experienced a flat labour market.
