Call goes out for blood donations

Canadian Blood Services is urging people to donate blood before the upcoming Canada Day holiday.
Fewer people are booking appointments this year, and there are a high number of cancellations around long weekends. They say all donors are needed, but there is a greater demand for those with type O and type A blood.
More than 7500 appointments are still available across the country between now and July 5th, including 200 in Hamilton.
