Breakfast is an important part of an athletes’ day. But the Hamilton Bulldogs want to make sure younger generations are getting the fuel they need to succeed. Over the past few years, the team’s “Dawgs Breakfast” program has been helping people living below the poverty line in the city. Sometimes the dawg’s breakfast is the only meal some kids get that day. So Monday, the owner of the Bulldogs, Michael Andlauer, announced a big expansion. A $125,000 contribution: “The Bulldogs Foundation, thanks to the support of the fans of the Bulldogs and it’s sponsors and people who support the program. We’re gonna increase it from 2,000 students in Hamilton, to 5,000 students in Hamilton and St. Patrick’s school is one the schools that we supported from the Bulldogs foundation so, there you go.”

The Bulldogs foundation was established in 2007 and so far more than 2,000 students are starting their day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast.
