HAPPENING NOW:
Breakfast and carbohydrates
If you skip breakfast, you’re more likely to crave carbs.
Researchers looked at two groups of students; those who hadn’t eaten for 18 hours, and those who had breakfast.
The students were all offered a buffet lunch.
Those who didn’t have breakfast put more starchy foods on their plate, and were more likely to start their meal with carbohydrates.
Starchy foods tend to be a quicker energy source, but also tend to have more calories.
