HAPPENING NOW:

BPA in canned foods

Eating too many canned foods could be increasing the amount of BPA in your body.

It’s a chemical used in the lining of metal cans that’s been linked to health risks in animals and people.

Researchers had 75 volunteers eat canned soup every day for five days or fresh soup made without canned ingredients.

They found those eating canned soup had a 1,000% increase in BPA in their urine.

Experts say the spike is temporary, and more studies are needed to learn the potential health consequences.
