HAPPENING NOW:

BPA and heart problems

One of the most commonly used chemicals in canned goods and plastic bottles may cause heart problems.

BPA has been linked to other health problems in the past, and many countries, including Canada, have moved to ban the substance, especially in baby products.

In a new study, researchers measured levels of BPA in nearly six hundred adults, and compared the results to the size of their heart arteries.

They found those with the highest concentration of BPA were significantly more likely to have narrow heart arteries.
