Blood disorder binds two strangers
Two Hamilton residents – complete strangers – share an unusual and deadly blood disorder.
Both were near death, but had their lives restored by a drug treatment.
Now, they share a goal: to get this treatment for everyone diagnosed with the disease.

PNH affects about 90 Canadians nationwide. Donna and Richard are focusing on their Ontario counterparts, and plan to lobby the provincial government to fund Soliris. It’s the only drug so far, that allows PNH patients to live a relatively normal life.
