Black Friday in the great white north
The day after American Thanksgiving is the day retailers typically start making money, and is seen as the official start of the Christmas season, in the United States.
The day of shopping madness south of the border – with offers of massive sales, huge discounts and wild crowds of shoppers always includes a lot of Canadians. In the last couple of years Canadian retailers have begun to hit back, trying to keep Christmas dollars on this side of the border. But as Scot Urquhart found out, we’ve still got a long way to go:
