Birth control decisions
South of the border, there’s a new push for teen girls to use IUD’s or hormonal implants instead of the more traditional birth control pill or patch.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists says doctors should be recommending intra-uterine devices and implants first.
The group says both are safe, and nearly a 100% effective at preventing pregnancy.
Both however, are also more invasive, requiring a trip to the doctor’s office.
