Bad news for cross-border deals

As the Canadian dollar continues to plunge, crossing the border to shop may begin to make less and less sense.

According to Nick Bontis from the Degroote School of Business at McMaster University, if the dollar gets much worse, there won’t be much of a point looking for deals down south.

Right now the dollar is trading below 95 cents American, the lowest it’s been since October 2011.
