Alzheimer’s marker found
Researchers have found a new marker in the blood that could tell doctors whether a patient has an increased risk for Alzheimer’s Disease.
A study looked at 99 women over age 70.
None of them had dementia at the start of the study.
The researchers measured levels of a certain type of fat in the blood, and found those with the highest levels of the fat were ten times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s Disease.
