Agri-food sector at Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority

There are 16 companies at the Port of Hamilton that are active in the agri-food sector, with products including sugar, grain, fertilizer, food oils, beer, food packaging and food-grade warehousing. There’s a new sugar refinery being built here, as well as a new flour mill. Mike Warkentin, director of special projects and stakeholder relations at Parrish & Heimbecker, and Ian Hamilton, president and CEO of HOPA Ports, told us more.
