5 goals to focus on as the COVID-19 pandemic eases

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a lot of certainties in many areas of your life.
Despite the unknown, travel and lifestyle expert Natalie Preddie says there are simple things you can do to help you feel more certain.
Organize Your Finances
To take the stress out of finances during the pandemic, Preddie recommended using Quick Check by Capital One.
This online resource tells you which credit cards you will be approved for without impacting your credit score.
Travel With Ease
If travelling safely is one of your goals, Preddie said the first things you need to identify are the type of vacation you’d like to embark on and who will go.
“When you choose small, definable elements, that will help keep you on track when it comes to travelling when we’re all able to travel safely,” she said.
Prioritize Exercise
With the stress of the pandemic impacting your sleep, the last thing you have energy for is exercise.
But Preddie said regularly working out is vital for your physical and mental health.
“For me, I have an accountability buddy,” she said. “Though times are uncertain, it’s a way to help us stay accountable and connect in a healthy way.”
Spend Time With Loved Ones
Committing to one-on-one time with a family member is another way to help you feel more at ease during these uncertain times.
“You can play a game, you can read a book, you can watch a movie,” Preddie said. “Both of you will really look forward to that time together.”
Try Something New
The final goal Preddie recommended is to try one new experience each week.
“My son is in French-immersion so I am committing to learning French,” she said. “Luckily he’s in SK so it’s mostly just naming things around the house, which is little but it’s growth.”
