Atrial fibrillation or an abnormal heart rhythm is a leading cause of stroke. Though there are many treatment options, most involve radiation, which can increase a patient’s risk for cancer in the future. But U.S. surgeons are working with a new treatment that significantly cuts radiation exposure. Maria Hayes explains.
