1Awards helps small businesses grow

Dave Schurman from FirstOntario Credit Union joined us this morning to discuss FirstOntario’s 1Awards for small businesses.

The goal of the 1Awards is to select a small business to win $200,000 in prizes that helps them grow their business.

Anyone with a business that has been open at least two years and has under 50 employees in the Hamilton, Halton, Brant Niagara and surrounding areas can apply. From there a panel picks finalists who then have to pitch their business in a Dragon’s Den style at Tim Hortons Field, facilitated by The Thornton Group.
