Milton’s neighbourhood outdoor rink program accepting applications

First Published:

The town of Milton has announced the return of its outdoor neighbourhood ice rink program for a third season and is accepting applications starting this week.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between residents and the town, bringing winter fun to local neighbourhoods.

Groups of six or more adults can build a neighbourhood rink in a pre-approved location, meeting the criteria and agreed-upon responsibilities to maintain the rink throughout the winter season.

The rinks will be open to everyone to enjoy, free of charge.

Workplaces looking to give back through volunteer initiatives are also encouraged to apply to help build and operate a rink this winter season

Online applications open on Oct. 9 and close on Nov. 8.

For more information about criteria and responsibilities of the volunteer teams and Town staff, visit Milton.ca/NeighbourhoodRinks.
