One man is in hospital and one suspect is outstanding following a targeted shooting in Hamilton’s downtown core Friday morning.
Police say there was an interaction between a group of men before the shooting happened around 11 a.m. next to the Frank A. Cooke Transit Terminal at the intersection of MacNab and King streets.
Officers say the man who was shot ran from the scene, but police eventually found him on King Street.
Paramedics brought the man to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Investigators are now searching for two men in their 20s.
The first suspect is described as a Black man who was last seen wearing a green tracksuit with a black and grey backpack. Police believe he was travelling eastbound on King Street.
Detectives are also looking for a white man who was wearing a grey tracksuit at the time of the shooting.
