Man dies after being hit on Lincoln Alexander Parkway, police seek witnesses

A 30-year-old male has died after being struck by a motor vehicle while walking on Lincoln Alexander Parkway on Saturday evening.

The Hamilton man was hit around 10:30 p.m. while in the westbound lanes. He was taken to Hamilton General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Prior to the collision Hamilton Police received several calls regarding a person walking on the roadway.

The driver who struck the man remained on scene and is cooperating with police. A driver of another vehicle who swerved to avoid the man also remained on scene and spoke with police.

Alcohol and speed are not considered factors involved in the collision.

Police are seeking potential witnesses to this incident and urge anyone with information to come forward. Investigators are also requesting any motorists in the area at the time of the collision to check their dash cameras to review their camera footage.
