Man dead after vehicle struck guard rail in Niagara Falls: police

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash after the driver lost control and collided with a guard rail.

Officers responded to the collision Tuesday shortly after 5 p.m. on Dorchester Rd., north of Calaguiro Dr. in Niagara Falls.

Upon arrival, investigators determined that a 35-year-old man of Fort Erie was driving a 2010 black BMW 335i northbound on Dorchester Rd. when he lost control and collided with a guard rail.

Police say the driver was alone in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
