Man critically injured after being pinned under semi-truck at work in Thorold

A man has been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was pinned under the axle of a semi-truck at his workplace in Thorold Friday.
Emergency crews were called shortly after 3 p.m. to a workplace in the area of Thorold Stone and Davis roads for a report of a workplace injury.
Niagara EMS spokesperson Bryce Brunarski says the man was found under the semi-truck suffering from unstable vital signs and chest and abdominal pain.
An Ornge air ambulance transported the man in his 40s to Hamilton General Hospital with critical injuries.
Niagara police say the investigation remains ongoing.
