Man charged in 3-vehicle crash on Centennial Parkway in January

Hamilton police have charged a 35-year-old man in connection with a three-vehicle crash on Centennial Parkway in January that injured two people.

Officers say the man driving a pickup truck around 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 9 crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound SUV, which then crashed into another vehicle.

The pickup truck driver was taken to hospital in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries, while the third person was not injured.

The 35-year-old man was initially charged with being in possession of a stolen vehicle and breaching the conditions of his probation.

Police announced Tuesday that the man is facing additional charges, including operation while prohibited, driving while suspended and careless driving.
