A 79-year-old man from Niagara Falls has been charged by police after a sexual assault allegedly took place in a wholesale store.

Officers say they were called out to a Costco on Pin Oak Drive for a sexual assault call on April 5.

Police learned that a man had been “observed in the store acting suspicious around female customers.”

Upon further review, investigators determined that the man matched a suspect description from an earlier report that had taken place at that same store, that weekend.

According to an update from Niagara police, a woman in her 20s “was touched for a sexual purpose.”

Workers at the store managed to detain the man and call the police, but the man got away before they arrived.

He was last seen fleeing the scene in a black 4-door Mazda 3. Police say they attended a home in Niagara Falls later that afternoon and were able to make an arrest.

Kim Chan Pham, 79, of Niagara Falls, was arrested and taken into custody. Police have charged him with one count of sexual assault. They say Pham was held in custody until a bail hearing took place on April 6.

Now, authorities are circulating a photo of Pham as they continue to investigate the matter.

They say they have grounds to believe there are more female victims, between the ages of nine and 18, who Pham may have victimized.

Pham is described as Southeast Asian. He is five feet two inches tall, has black hair and brown eyes, wears glasses, and weighs around 140 pounds. He has been seen wearing a dark-brimmed hat, a blue coat, dark pants, and dark shoes.
