Lone driver killed in single-vehicle collision in Ancaster Wednesday night

Police say a Hamilton man has lost his life after a single-vehicle collision in Ancaster Wednesday night.
Officers say that around 8:15 p.m. a Mercedes sedan was traveling northbound on Southcote Rd. near Book Rd. when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

The vehicle was occupied by a lone driver that police have identified as a 46-year-old Hamilton man who was pronounced dead on scene.
A stretch of Southcote Rd. remained closed for several hours as the Collision Reconstruction Unit was on scene for investigation.
