Experience the solar eclipse at Tim Hortons Field on April 8, 2024 and witness nature’s celestial spectacle firsthand, for free!
Visitors can join us for FREE at Tim Hortons Field (one of the five preferred viewing locations across the city) on Monday, April 8, 2024, for the solar eclipse. Hamilton is one of the few locations in Canada that will witness a total eclipse, where the moon will completely cover the sun, casting a mesmerizing shadow over the city. Entry is free, but a ticket is required.
Attention Hamilton Residents: We encourage you to enjoy the eclipse’s beauty safely from your own home. The eclipse will be equally spectacular, allowing our out-of-town guests to utilize the designated viewing sites.
Timing
Gates 1 and 5 open at 1:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time).
Partial solar eclipse begins at 2:03 PM
Total solar eclipse occurs between 3:18 PM and 3:20 PM.
Partial solar eclipse ends at 4:31PM.
Solar eclipse glasses will be handed out to all ticket holders upon entry.
Parking: Free, off-site parking is located at Tim Hortons Field Parking Lot E at 23 Chapple Street, Hamilton ON and is short walk to the stadium. Addtional free parking can be found at Tim Hortons Field Parking Lot D
Concessions will be open.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED.
