Loblaw donates gift cards to storm victims

Premier Kathleen Wynne has announced that grocery giant Loblaw is donating $25,000 in gift cards to help people who lost their refrigerated or frozen food because of the ice storm.
Wynne says the compensation she was most concerned about was food.
She challenged other retailers to make similar donations.
“I’m very pleased to say that Loblaw has been the first to donate $25,000,” said Wynne, adding she hopes her government can match that donation.
The premier says priority will be given to families who cannot afford to replace their spoiled food.
Groceries will also be available through The Daily Bread Food Bank.
