Kamala Harris to accept party nomination as DNC wraps up

First Published:

On the final night of the Democratic National Convention, Vice President Kamala Harris is preparing to officially accept the nomination for president.

Last night, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz accepted his party’s nomination for Vice President.

In his speech, the teacher-turned-politician leaned into his experience as a football coach, his time in the National Guard, and his family’s experience with fertility struggles.

Other big names who made speeches at the convention Wednesday night were Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, and Olivia Troye — former Trump administration national security official.

The spotlight tonight will be on Harris, as she delivers the keynote address on the event’s final night.

The theme for tonight’s finale is “for the future.”
