JD Vance attacks Tim Walz’s military record

First Published:

Team Trump has resorted to accusing and attacking the Democratic governor Tim Walz’s military record hoping to get any advantage ahead of the November election.

Republican running mate J.D. Vance accused Walz of resigning from the National Guard to avoid deployment in Iraq while also saying that Walz never carried a gun into a war.

Many people who have worked with Walz in the past have been speaking up on his behalf, providing evidence that he had retired months before deployment to Iraq was ordered.

The splashback from Vance’s accusations have people scrutinizing his own four year service as a Marine, pointing out that while he was in Iraq, the junior senator from Ohio didn’t engage in any fighting.
