‘Heartbreaking’: fishing bridge at Valens Lake ravaged by fire

The Hamilton Conservation Authority says the fishing bridge at Valens Lake has been damaged by a fire.

On social media, the authority says it’s heartbreaking news.

The fire happened on Monday, and the bridge will now be closed for investigation and restoration efforts.

Due to safety concerns, the lookout tower has been removed from the Valens Lake Conservation area.
