Hamilton’s Supercrawl festival unveils 2024 summer lineup

The musical acts for Hamilton’s 2024 Supercrawl festival have been announced.
For three days in September, James Street will be transformed into a massive street festival full of music, arts and culture beginning on Sept. 13 and running until Sept. 15.
It’s an annual event that’s free and has been taking place since 2009.
Since its inception, it has quickly grown and now sees upwards of 250,000 people attending each year. One of the biggest draws to the festival is the vast quantity of musical talent on display.
This year’s lineup was recently announced, featuring a mixture of musical acts from Hamilton and beyond.
Artists such as Matt Andersen, Explosions in the Sky and The Sadies are set to feature throughout the event, as well as more local troupes from Hamilton and the surrounding area.
The festival’s director, Tim Potocic, says it’s a pleasure to curate the bands and says it’s something the organizers look forward to doing each year.
“We started this festival to spotlight creative talent and it’s always just so great to be able to bring this weekend to life every year. It’s something we look to just as much as audiences do. And none of it would be possible without the support of our partners and, of course, our incredible creative community. ”
Alongside the aforementioned artists, other bands will feature too, such as The Anti-Queens, Rich Aucoin, Bend It Like Beck, Boys and Girls Club, Charlotte Cornfield, Danko Jones, The Dears and many more.
On top of it all, this year, the festival will feature Squonk, a Pittsburgh-based rock performance group that will bring an immersive outdoor exhibition for all to enjoy.
