The latest on a shocking shooting in Hamilton over the weekend. The mayor says it simply “shouldn’t be happening” despite that, there have been almost a dozen shootings since the beginning of the year, most of them happening in Central Hamilton.

The latest shooting happened in the middle of the day in a quiet resedential nieghbourbood. Luckily no one was hurt but police are still looking for the gunmen. Just before 3:30 Saturday afternoon 3 men in their 20’s climbed out of a light coloured sedan and tried to rob a 19 year old man. When he turned to run, one started firing and another chased him with a knife.

Mayor Fred Eisenberger is looking at ways to tighten up the city’s gun-related bylaws.

Anyone with information about this shooting or any of the others is being asked to call police.
