Hamilton police seize drugs and weapons, arrest made in park patrol

Hamilton Police seized drugs, weapons, and arrested a man during proactive patrols at Woodlands Park to address community issues of drug overdoses and violent assaults.

Officers on patrol spotted a man carrying a hard case from a distance on Thursday. As they approached, the man placed the case behind a tent before leaving the area.

Police searched the case and found a compound bow and two arrows, which were then confiscated.

On Monday, during another patrol at Woodlands Park, officers discovered drug paraphernalia and residue near a group of people.

As a result, they arrested Khadar Houssein Ibrahim, 30, of Hamilton on charges of drug trafficking, two counts of fail to comply with probation order and seven counts of possession contrary to prohibition order.

Officers report confiscating methamphetamine, fentanyl rock, a spring-loaded expandable baton with a push-button and brass knuckles during the arrest.
