Hamilton police seek witness to murder of Daniel Musafiri last Friday

Hamilton police are asking for a woman to come forward they believe witnessed the murder of Daniel Musafiri last Friday.
Police responded to the area of Queen Street and York Boulevard around 10:48 p.m. for reports of shots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim now identified as 29-year-old Daniel Musafiri suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital where he would ultimately be pronounced deceased.
Investigators have now determined that Daniel was at Boulevard Billiards prior to his death, where he exited and was confronted by a suspect driving a 2022 black Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

Police say a short verbal exchange took place between Daniel and the suspect before he was fatally shot.

The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Queen Street from the parking area at 103 Queen St. North immediately after the incident and has yet to be recovered.
The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35-years-old, with a Middle-Eastern appearance, fair complexion and a full, long beard.
Investigators now believe a female witness was present during the shooting and has vital information relating to the murder.

She is described as a Black woman between the ages of 25 and 30-years-old, with black hair and was wearing a gray roots tracksuit and dark flip-flops at the time of the incident.
Detectives are urging the witness to come forward as they continue to review surveillance footage for more images that they say may be released in the future.
