Hamilton police seek ‘suspicious’ person in Stoney Creek

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspicious person who was seen trying to open the door of a home that was not their own.
Officers started investigating after receiving reports on Feb. 16 of a suspicious person in the area of Green Rd. and King St. East in Stoney Creek.
A Facebook user posted a warning about the man in a group for Hamiltonians, saying the man was checking house doors and windows shortly after children arrived from school.

Police say the suspicious person walked away after seeing people within the home.
The force says no criminal offence took place during the incident.
